Commentary Appertaining To Books Claiming the Highlander (Brotherhood of the Sword/MacAllister #2)
I flip flopped between giving this one 2 stars and 3 stars. Mostly because the beginning was boring to me. It didn't really start to pull me in until around page 120 or so. I don't know if it was more because I wasn't in the mood for it, or if the beginning was just slow. First, I was confused as to the connection between this book and the previous book in the series. It went from talking about Draven of Ravenswood to the Macallisters. At this point I can't find any connection. I did end up

I'm back and forth on this one. Braden is supposedly a man-whore. We hear all about how he loves women and we're treated to a scene of him with 3 sisters and nothing he says or does in the first half of the book would lead us to believe he is anything less than a man-whore. Braden also swears that he'll never fall in love. Maggie has been in love with him all her life - and it hurts her to see him act like he does and to ignore her the way he has always done. And so they set off on a little

3,5Nice story and well writen .

My review contains spoilers and they're mostly my thoughts as I went with the book. This one's got 2 parts.Alright, a bit more than halfway thorough the book and it's not as bad as I thought. The hero Braden is, of course, as bad as I thought but I'll survive, I guess. I'll come to that point soon enough but before let me start by introducing our charming hero! The story begins with the description of Braden and his love for women. He doesn't care about the size, shape, coloring- he just loves

"For this moment in time, he was hers, and she would love him the way she'd always dreamed of loving him. With the whole of her heart."Maggie has been in love with Braden since they were children when he "saved" her from her brothers tormenting. They are thrown together in a plot to stop a feud, and Braden begins seeing Maggie for the woman she has become...one that may steal his heart.I'm in love with this series! Highly recommend!

I love Kinley MacGregor's sense of humor. She has feel for humorous dialogue that is natural. She creates amazing characters that I easily become emotionally invested in.The plot for Claiming the Highlander was weak. At first glance it seemed that this would be an interesting read, but it was dull filled with a lot of flashback sequences that didn't really move the story forward. The hero began the story as a careless playboy and then in the middle he claimed to be the innocent victim of
