Rendition As Books The Judging (The Corescu Chronicles #1)
What happens when you want to do the will of God but are cursed for all eternity? Hungary, 1640. A village priest, enamored with his God and loyal to his sheep, awakens to find the village on fire. Searching for survivors, he is confronted by a dark creature with sharp teeth and red eyes. With the stab of the demon's fangs, the priest is transformed from a servant of good to an unwilling agent of evil. Present day. Four centuries pass, and Dr. Mark Corescu, that same village priest no longer recalls his origins. Corescu uses his position in the medical community to maintain a mortal facade as he pursues his true calling. Corescu seeks out evil men and women in a ritual he has dubbed the Judging. He condemns and kills them, one a night, feeding his lust on their blood. He feels neither guilt nor remorse. He believes he is serving a Higher Purpose. Artist and equestrian hobbyist Hope Brannen falls for the doctor at first sight. He feels the same, believing that she has been sent by God to aid him in his divine calling. Hope knows deep down he is not an agent of God but rather a real-life vampire. She turns to her seminary-going pal Tony Agricola for advice. As the story's only truly righteous character, Tony recognizes immediately that the doctor has incorrectly discerned the will of God. He agrees to speak to him about the matter, discovering that the doctor has suppressed his past. Slowly the doctor is reminded of his days as a humble village priest, as well as the time he spent in the clutches of the darkest creature imaginable. Steering the vampire down memory lane is difficult and risky but Tony does his best to correct the doctor's faulty theology. At the same time Corescu's perfect world is falling apart. Persevering through dangerous and perilous encounters with the vampire's immortal contemporaries, Tony shows the vampire the error of his ways. But just because his eyes are opened does not necessarily mean that his ways are easily changed.Rating Containing Books The Judging (The Corescu Chronicles #1)

In Ellen C. Mazes novel, The Judging: The Corescu Chronicles Book One, the author provides her readers with a well-written narrative that is not only compelling, but also extraordinary. What I found to be of particular interest was how Maze broke through the confines of the Dracula myth, which was defined, established, and popularized in a novel by Bram Stoker and published as a hardcover in 1897 by Archibald Constable and Co. The story heats up when Hope Brannen, a young widower, getIs he a Vampire or does he do GOD's Will? After reading the first 25 chapters, I was so confused on what the true story line was, until I deleted it from my Kindle. The story is confusing. It was just not my cup of tea.
I found this book to be truely a great read, i deffinatly reccomend this book to anybody who loves a great book.
I received this book through the Goodreads First-Reads program. This was an excellent book. Maze has taken the now-clichéd theme of vampire romance and twisted it into something dark and...well, twisted. When I read the blurb on the back of the book, it was obvious to me what would happen and what the solution to the main problem (vampirism) should be. I am happy to say that while reading this book, all the obvious answers disappeared; I didn't know what was coming next, and I didn't know what
What a wild concept!!! A priest as a vampire vigilante! How in the world did you figure this one up and run SO WELL with the idea!??? I loved this book. I think it's one that I've read the fastest in a long time!! Ellen, when's the next one coming out! I'm DYING for it!!
I won this book from one of Ellen C. Maze's competitions, Ellen wrote inside it Enjoy the ride. What a ride it was!Mark Corescu is like Dexter with fangs.Mark was a Priest before being transformed into a vampire, back in 1640. He has lived his vampire life, believing he is doing Gods will by killing evildoers of the human race; giving them the chance to repent, before draining their bodies of blood and subsequently ending their lives. Fate brings two people into his life who make him question
When I began reading "The Judging," I had no idea it was considered to be a "Christian Thriller." I found this out afterwards. For some reason, that description is a bit off-putting. Not because I have any quarrel with Christianity, but because there have been some truly abysmal books released under the "Christian" banner. I read somewhere--it was a blog post or an online op-ed piece, and I'm sorry I don't remember--asking why Christian Literature, Music, and Films "suck." (nb: Google "Why Does
