Commentary To Books Winnie The Pooh: The House At Pooh Corner (The Complete Collection Of Stories)
Here's where Pooh's adventures all began. Published in 1926, this is the original Winnie-the-Pooh with illustrations by Ernest H. Shepard. Beginning with "Winnie-the-Pooh and Some Bees," here are ten classic tales featuring the whole gang: Pooh, Piglet, Rabbit, Eeyore, Owl, Kanga, Little Roo, and Christopher Robin. Rmember when Pooh visits Rabbit and "gets into a tight place" as he attempts to enter Rabbit's house? Remember Eeyore's very eventful birthday party? Piglet's water-filled rescue? The beloved stories are all here, as A.A. Milne wrote them more than 70 years ago.Rating Based On Books Winnie The Pooh: The House At Pooh Corner (The Complete Collection Of Stories)

Get your paws on the British audiobook version if you can. Voices by Judy Dench, Geoffrey Palmer, Stephen Fry, Jane Horrocks and a few other great people. The voices are fantastic and really bring life to the story. Loved it. :)When I read this book I wished I someone had read it out to me when I was a child. I enjoyed it a lot and if I should ever have children of my own I will definitely read it out to them. While reading I so often thought: This is sooo cute! And it is funny. And entertaining and a lot more too. What I probably liked most about these books is that during the read I could feel like a child again - curious, sorrow-less and pure. My favorite part is from the end of Winnie-The-Pooh when Pooh gets a
The dramatisation of this in the UK Audible version is excellent. All star cast, and really brings it to life. Whatever your age!
What a nice, light, fun stories to read. I knew of but did not grow up with Pooh and his friends nor did my kids but my Grandson is. I have read a couple of these stories from other books before reading this book. I love the adventure, the imagination and wit. I can relate to both Tigger and Eeyore, they fit both of my personalities. The Illustrations are wonderful and add depth to the stories. Highly recommend.
I needed something light to read during the end of the semester and the tough winter season. I love Edward Howard Shepard's illustrations and they remind me of Sir John Tenniel's line drawings too. I'm happy to reread this as an adult and capture the sub-layers of emotional meaning. Having Christopher Robin grow up was really powerful as he knows things will never be the same again when "they" don't let you do "nothing" anymore.
I was sold with the first sentence: "Winnie the Pooh lived under the name of Sanders." This with a picture of Pooh seated on a bench outside his home, with "Sanders" on a sign above his door. I laughed out loud. If you never read this book, it's time you took a second look, to laugh at all the jokes that are written for the adult reading to the child.
I was in the "I don't like Winnie-the-pooh" camp until I picked up an abridged version of this book, I was surprised at how different the characters and the storyline were to the Disney version. Then I found this book in a second-hand bookstore for $4. To be honest the abridged version was better. I hate saying that, but the writing in this book is very confusing to follow. The opening section was quite boring and it took me (as an adult) a bit of time to figure out who was saying what and what
