Interpretation Concering Books Renegade (The Captive #2)
Though she is free of the palace, rescued from her position as a blood slave, Aria is haunted by the memories of her time spent within the fortress, tormented by memories of Braith, the prince that betrayed her and shattered her heart. Every day is a struggle to get through, and the only solace she is able to find is with Max, her best friend, and fellow captive. Though Max does not understand her bond to Braith, he knows some of what she endured, and helps to ease some of the tattered pieces of her soul. Aria slowly begins to salvage the broken parts of her wounded spirit by throwing herself into the wonder of the woods she had so greatly missed, and the secure and reassuring love that Max freely gives her. Her world is thrown into a tailspin again though when a marauding group of vampires destroy the caves she had found temporary shelter in. Scattered about the forest, seeking to stay hidden and find her family, Aria is stunned when Braith, the monster that savaged her heart, reappears. Stunned by his sudden arrival in her world, Arianna is uncertain if he has come to recapture her, or to kill her for daring to escape.Book 2 of 4 in The Captive Series

hmm not as good as book 1I am officially quitting this series. It was only 180 pages, so I toughed it out. The story (which was getting good) was put on hold so that the two main characters could be a mushy and ridiculous mess. Here's what I got out of the story....Braith gets mad...Arianna touches his arm and says, "Braith".Braith gets mad...Arianna touches his arm and says, "Braith".Over and over again. The characters in this book can get staked for all I care.
I looooooooooved this!Book one is probably still my favorite, but this one was definitely amazing. I heart Braith and Aria, they are definitely something else. There is this connection, this bond between them...its hard to explain, but its just so beautiful to me.There was a lot more going on in this book, it moves at a pretty fast pace, but it didn't feel rushed to me. The writing is definitely something to be admired. I am greatly enjoying this series and am excited to read on.the ending of
Re-read 4th December - 5th December 2018Aria's body may have escaped the castle but part of her is still there with Braith, she misses him and finds that she no longer fits in the forest like she used to do.Braith hasn't taken Arias departure well and he's spiralling down into darkness, he's feeding constantly and brutally and we're left to wonder if he'll come out the other side. It's only when his evil brother Caleb decides to go after Aria that Braith has to take action because regardless of
Wow! Still, wow.
The second book in The Captive series, this is a fantastic follow up to book one - Captured - and continues the story of Arianna and Braith and their battle to be together in a world where vampires rule over an enslaved human race. Just a warning this is going to be a bit spoilery if you havent read the first book. And if you havent read the first book its free on Amazon, so DO IT NOW!!!!The story picks up around two months after the end of the hideous cliffhanger that ended the last book.
This was almost comical... In a bad way.Braith, our guy, spends nearly the whole book trembling in rage. I'm not kidding, that would happen twice every page. By the end, of course, it had gotten old and boring. As for Aria, she spent nearly all the time she had with Braith crying, for different reasons. As a couple, those two were just terrible. One trembling in rage and the other melting in a puddle of tears all the time. Oh, and there was also Max, suffering from a serious case of PTSD. He was
