Elizabeth needs cash. James has cash to burn. Also, he's in disguise as a poor estate manager. He has the hots for her; she has the hots for him: MAGIC TIMES. 1. Here's the thing. EARLY ON, James comes to the conclusion that he really likes Elizabeth; wants to know her past, present, ~future. Wants to touch her naughtily. Has warm fuzzies about her. Then comes the complication: she needs to marry money! AND NOT UNTIL SEVERAL CHAPTERS LATER DOES JAMES THINK "HMM. ME MARRY ME. I HAVE MONEY; WE CAN

Historical romance - 3.5 stars!Sweet and fun!"Are you paying attention or just trying to make me look like an idiot?""Oh, I'm definately paying attention. If you look like an idiot it has nothing to do with me.""He looks like a man." "How descriptive," Susan said in a droll tone. "Remind me never to advise you to seek work as a novelist."

Very cute romance.....up until James' true identity was revealed. Then our funny & charming heroine turned into an annoying irrational priss. It was bad enough to make me demote this from 3 to 2 stars (if I could, I'd do 1.5). Elizabeth is desperate enough to marry for money, but suddenly too good to accept money from James. Even if it meant comfort for her siblings and the much needed education for her brother. And even to refuse marriage (or any common sense) from the Marquis who kept

After the lack luster hero in Julia Quinn's Ten Things I Love About You and the bubble head heroine in JQ's To Catch an Heiress, it was a refreshing change to read a JQ book where I actually really liked both the hero and the heroine. Not a bad place to start.Marquis James Siddel is Lady Danbury's nephew(yes the beloved Lady Danbury of the Brodgerton series). Lady Danbury has been blackmailed and calls her nephew to flush out the criminal. He discuises himself as an estate manager in order to

i feel horrid to say that i found this book to be a HUGE dissapointment and far below my expectations if one could imagine :/i loved the idea of the plot, but for some reason i felt almost the 1st half the book just drag, while the second half speed by with just fighting, screaming and dissapointments...For the first time (in my long reading life ! ) I found myself unable to even LIKE ms.quinn's characters while struggling to finish the book..A sad day indeed :(

3.5 stars - Historical Romance

"How To" isn't going to broaden any horizons or make you think outside of the box. What it will do is help pass a rainy day or make you forget how hot you really are as you're laying by the pool... What a splendid and light hearted story this was, and if cheese was indeed a liquid it would absolutely drip from this book...But... I just love how this oh so famous author can still make me laugh out loud while I reread the page two and three times just to laugh again. She has perfected one of my
