A fun summer book with a (mostly) happy ending. What I liked most is the main characters voice. Kari is the ultimate teenager who is mature at certain times and childlike and naïve at others. She goes from being self-conscious and even self-centered to developing awareness of others and being more equipped to solve problems, her own and those of other people. The present tense that the author uses works great for this character, allowing for events to unfold in real time without too many chances
Hot! If the cover doesn't draw you in the blurb most definitely will. So let me tell you that the story is even better. It's about a girl who goes through an incident that changes her forever.
